Decision By The Government Will Be Announced-
In the past years’ records, the DA is being increased before Holi. If this time the government follows the same routine, then according to this, after the cabinet meeting, the government may announce DA being increased tomorrow. On this likelihood, employees and pensioners might get their DA before Holi too. Accordingly under the 7th Pay Commission, twice a year the central government increases the DA of employees. The first one is from January 1. The increase in this is further revised on July 1.

DA revision is done on account of inflation, so this time it is expected that a possible 3% increase for DA for the Central Government employees will take place. The consequences of this increase would enhance the salary of every senior in decree all of the big grades at the entry level of the government service. The salary of the employees, whose basic salary comes to Rs. 18,000 per month, will increase by approximately Rs. 540 per month.
DA Is Calculated In This-
If an employee draws Rs 30,000 and Rs 18,000 is characterized as Basic Pay, then for DA currently, it computes 50% or Rs 9,000 of Basic Pay. Whenever an increase of up to three percent in this is done, it, therefore, means that DA will be calculated as Rs 9,540, increasing the pay of employees by Rs 540. Whenever an increase of up to 4 percent in salary is done, therefore DA decreases to Rs 9,720, augmenting the pay by Rs 720.
DA Increased Last Year By Much-
In March 2024, the government had increased the DA of the employees by up to 4 percent after which the DA of the employees has reached to 50 percent. After this, the view of the increase of 3 percent in October 2024 is being contemplated. So the DA of the employees now becomes worth 53 percent. So, with DA planning to be raised once again by 3 to 4 percent from January 2025, the announcement for the increase of DA can happen anytime but will be applicable from January 1, 2025. The other thing is the DA amount with arrears will be paid to the employees.
