Government’s Stand On The 8th Pay Commission

The government has not officially declared the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, though. A pay commission is usually instituted every 10 years. The last pay commission was set up in 2016, so it is most likely that the next commission would be set up by 2026. Nevertheless, employee organizations have been holding continuous protests and demands for its timely implementation.

Shall DA Also Be Enjoyed By Pensioners?

It will also be fruitful to pensioners if 8th Pay Commission is granted. It may also be included in Dearness Allowance (DA) adjustments. The current DA is at 53 percent and is expected to increase to 55 percent by March 2025.
