Old Scheme and ATETVA met Mohanlalganj MP RK Chaudhary on Sunday and furnished a memorandum for 21 repeal of old pension scheme besides privatization. The delegation requested him to raise the subject in Parliament. This was said through states president-an exploitative new pension system was implemented in this country with the abolishing of the old pension scheme and UPS. This is not at all in favor of the employees and the government must withdraw this decision and only the benefits of the old pension scheme should be given to the employees.
The Matter Of OPS Will Be Taken Up In Parliament.
The memorandum was given to all leaders of government employees organizations, including the general secretary of the outsourcing and all employees union, and this memorandum campaign is being run in every district and this memorandum is being submitted to every MP and it is being said that important issues should be raised in Parliament on this. Because this is a national-level issue and if the issue is raised in Parliament for the restoration of the old pension scheme to the government employees, then definitely something can be done. However, the employees say that if it does not happen, their movement shall continue in the same manner.
Can Be Merged Into Old Pension Scheme
Just like New Pension Scheme and Unified Pension Scheme are running now, this money can be combined into Old Pension Scheme instead of New Pension Scheme. But government employees demand that amendments may be brought in New Pension Scheme such that it provides benefits like Old Pension Scheme. The demand from the employees was met by the introduction of Unified Pension Scheme by the government.
But within that also, a pension would be available at the rate of 50% of the last salary. However, with some conditions, under Unified Pension Scheme, the 50% salary would be paid at the last stage of service. The similar provision was not there in Old Pension Scheme. Many employees consider Old Pension Scheme as right, due to this reason employees are continuously struggling for revival.
